Our Staff
Saleeya Thaveetheptaikul
Say hello to Saleeya, the very first smiling face to join the Optometry Center of Pleasanton when we opened our doors! With over three years of experience in the field—including time in private practice—Saleeya brings both expertise and heart to everything she does.
She’s passionate about making every patient feel at ease and truly enjoys building real connections while helping solve their vision needs. One of her favorite parts of the job? Teaching new contact lens wearers how to confidently put them in for the first time—her patience and encouragement are unmatched!
When she's not brightening our office, Saleeya is soaking up time with her husband and their adorable almost-one-year-old son. Whether you're a longtime patient or visiting us for the first time, Saleeya is the friendly face that will make you feel like part of the family.
Stephanie Macias
Stephanie is the warm and welcoming face you’ll often see when you walk through our doors. As both a skilled medical assistant and the friendly presence at our front desk, she plays a vital role in making sure every visit feels smooth, comfortable, and personal.
With a strong background in healthcare, Stephanie splits her time between our office on the weekends and her full-time role in primary health care during the week. Her dedication to serving others extends beyond clinical care.
Outside of work, Stephanie is all about balance. She loves staying active, experimenting with healthy cooking, and making time to relax and recharge—because she knows self-care is just as important as caring for others. Her warmth, energy, and genuine compassion make her an invaluable part of our team.
Amay Malhotra
When he’s not helping patients see clearly, Amay’s building worlds—literally and figuratively. A pre-med student at Santa Clara University, he’s writing a book inspired by his own life, Finesse Destiny, about a character with memory loss rediscovering himself through life’s twists and turns. He’s also a passionate LEGO builder (especially anything Ninjago) and a collector of minifigures.
On top of that, Amay brings serious creative skills to the team with his background in graphic design and video editing. Whether it’s storytelling, building, or caring for others, Amay brings imagination and heart to everything he does.
